Can I join at any point in the year?
Members can join all year round during our season which runs from the 1st April – 31st March each year. We offer peak, mid-season and Winter taster prices.
How do I know when I can play?
Please always check our the availability section on our Website – this details a direct link to the Golf Course Status and the Calendar.
Can dogs be taken for a walk on the course?
No dogs are only permitted on the public footpaths and must always be on a lead; no dogs are permitted on the Golf Course and cannot accompany players.
What is student priority time?
Student priority time allows college pupils to play during their allocated time during each term with priority over members. There are no restrictions during college holidays.
While members are not prohibited from playing, they are requested to avoid playing at these times as far as possible.
College Pupil PRIORITY times are:
- MONDAY: 3.15PM – 6PM
- TUESDAY: 2PM – 6PM
- WEDNESDAY: 4.15PM – 6PM
- THURSDAY: 2PM – 6PM
- FRIDAY: 4.15PM – 6PM
Can I bring a friend?
We welcome members to bring a friend to play with them – please pop to Bradfield Sports Complex first before going to the Golf course to sign them in and purchase a Green fee. It is a maximum of 3 guests per member per day.

When are the regular weekly roll ups?
- Monday mornings 8.30am Men’s division
- Wednesday mornings 8.30am Ladies mornings
- Sunday mornings from 8.30am – Weekend Men’s division
What practice facilities are there?
The outdoor facilities comprise of a full size USGA putting/chipping green with green side bunker & a Huxley 4 bay practice net.
Do you offer Golf Lessons?

What Clubhouse facilities do you offer?
- Our clubhouse is a self-service facility where members can make tea and coffee with supplies provided.
- There are changing facilities, showers and toilets.
I’m looking to obtain my 1st golf handicap / How do I get an official handicap index?
Our Handicap Secretary Doug Wylie or Sarah Mitchell will be able to help you, they will issue your member number. Then you will need to go to England Golf’s new online IGolf App which allows for the 1st time non-member golfers access to an Official Handicap Index under the new World Handicap System (WHS) www.englandigolf.co.uk
How do I sign up for HowDidiDo so that I can register interest and play in club events / competitions?
- Download the following app: www.howdidido.com
- Put in your new handicap CDH number. Then assign Bradfield College as your home course. Under the booking tab, Competitions will be shown.

Can juniors play the course unaccompanied with an adult?
- Juniors can hold a membership from 8 years old, but at Bradfield we ask they are accompanied by an adult until they are at least 10 years old. Our Golf Professional Simon Mcgreal holds regular camps and coaching groups for our junior & Youth members.
- All Junior Members must have a good knowledge of basic course etiquette and rules before playing unaccompanied. Simon can assist with this.
I’d like to join our entire family to become members of the club, what would be the best way to go about this?
We Offer family, joint and individual memberships just pop to see the team at Bradfield Sports Complex who will be happy to help you.
How many guests can I bring to play the course in a day?
- *Maximum of 3, please ensure you supervise your guests at all times. Payment for all guest fees is taken at the Sports Complex reception (by the Golf member in person) before play commences & the guest tickets must be on full display. A maximum of 2 Guest Green fees per member can be purchased per month but these can be bought on the same day – a maximum of 12 Guest Green Fee’s per season can be bought.
- Adults £20.00 & juniors £10.00
What is the maximum number of players that can play in a group?
A Maximum of 4 players only may go round in a group – 4 ball.
What attire is acceptable to wear while at the Golf Club?
Normal golf attire is expected, no jeans/denim allowed and appropriate footwear. Tops must be worn at all times even in the Summer.
Are players expected to use their own set of clubs?
Sharing of clubs is not allowed, all players must have their own set.
Am I allowed to pull my trolley on the tees/greens or between the greens & bunkers?
The local rule at Bradfield GC is as follows: –
- No trolleys are allowed on the tees or greens.
- No trolleys are allowed between the green/bunker surrounds or tee surrounds, as these are high wear areas.
- Trolleys should not be allowed within 5 yards of a green or tee unless there is a designated path there.
What is golf course etiquette?
The etiquette on the golf course means that you leave the course in the same or better condition than you find it. Replacing all divots & all pitch marks be fixed.
Where can I clean my shoes and clubs?
We have a Shoe-Eze Cleaner next to the Club house for all members and their guests to use, please ensure you replace the hoses in their holsters after use.
